What are the common material of garment fabric, and what are the characteristics of each of them?
1, Cotton fabric: cotton fabric is refers to the cotton yarn or mixed with cotton yarn textile, has good breathability and hygroscopicity, comfortable to wear, it is a practicable and popular fabric It can be divided into pure cotton and mixed fabric with cotton. Advantage: hygroscopicity &permeability, soft, anti-allergy, easy to wash and uneasy to fuzzing. Disadvantage: easy to crease, shrink, and easy deformation.
2, Linen fabric: the linen fabric including pure linen fabric and mixed fabric with linen yarn. The common point of this fabric is hard, ruggedness, stiffness, coolness, good wet absorption, ia very popular summer garment fabric. It can be divided into pure and blending textile. Advantage: hygroscopicity &permeability, disinfection, easy to wash and uneasy to fuzzing. Disadvantage: easy to crease, shrink, and easy deformation.
3, Silk fabric: silk fabric is a kind of high grade textile, the main material of this fabric are mulberry silk, tussah silk, rayon and synthetic filament yarn. This fabric are frivolous, soft, smooth, elegant, gorgeous and comfortable. Advantage: hygroscopicity &permeability, soft, good gloss,beautiful in colors, will have special voice when tearing it. Disadvantage: easy to crease, shrink, easy deformation and sun-discolouration.
4, Wool fabric: the material of this fabric are wool, cony hair, camel hair and wool type chemical fiber, mianly material is wool. It is a kind of high grade garment textile, good elasticity, anti-wrinkle, stiff and smooth, durable wear, good heat preservation, comfortable and beautiful and pure color. Advantage: wear-resisting, heat preservation, hygroscopicity &permeability, soft and good elasticity, the pilling degree is according to the different species. It has charring taste of protein once burning. Disadvantage: easy to crease, shrink, and easy deformation.
5, Chemical fiber fabric: It is always popular among people because of big fastness, good elasticity, stiff and smooth, durable wear, and easy to keep and storage. Chemical fiber fabric is made of chemical fiber, the characteristic of the fabric is according to the fiber’s own features. According to different requirement, the fabric can be produced in diffferent length and technology to spinning, cotton-like fabric, linen-like fabric, elastic wool-like fabric, midi wool-like fabric etc. Advantage: easy to care, stiff and smooth, anti ironing, neat wrinkle easily, shrink resistant, difficult deformation and easy to wash. Disadvantage: poor breathability, easy to cause static electricity and difficult to dye.
