The Difference Between Fireproof Fabric and Flame Retardant Fabric

General speaking,fireproof fabric is fire resistant fabric, but higher levels of flame retardant fabric can be called fireproof fabric, such as asbestos cloth, fiberglass cloth.

 

The flame retardant fabric means that the fabric can be lighted but self-extinguished after leaving the fire within 12 seconds. Flame retardant fabric can slow down the burning speed, but will produce carbonation phenomenon.

 

Usually,FR fabric can be divided into post-processing FR fabric and permanent FR fabric, post-process FR fabric including: 100% cotton flame retardant fabric, CVC flame retardant fabric, C/N 88/12 cotton/nylon FR fabrics.

 

Permanent fabric including : Aramid fire retardant fabric,modacrylic fabrics.
